GEO-6 tour to reach Roman hills | |
The sixth Global Environmental Outlook for the pan-European region (GEO-6) will be presented to the Italian Environment Minister, experts, media and the general public in Frascati, Rome on 21 February.
The Outlooks are annual reports assessing the state of the environment for each of the world’s regions, what is being done in response and how effective policy measures can be. Its sixth edition for the pan-European region has found that air quality poses the greatest environmental risk to human health.
The Frascati event is the latest in a series bringing the report’s findings to a wider audience. The town is home to numerous scientific laboratories, including Earth observation missions.
