Wildlife through young eyes

Do you have a passion for wildlife and a photographer’s eye? Are you aged between 10 and 24? Why not enter this photo competition and win a trip to New York to celebrate World Wildlife Day!

Celebrated on 3 March, the day will take place under the theme ‘Listen to the young voices’ and includes a special opportunity for budding wildlife enthusiasts. The occasion is coordinated by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, whose Secretariat is located in Geneva.

As part of the photo competition, entrants are invited to express all of these through their own eyes by submitting a photo showing the beauty of wildlife or how youths are engaged in conserving the amazing species they share an ecosystem with.

World Wildlife Day highlights the many beautiful and varied forms of wild animals and plants, raises awareness of the multitude of benefits that wildlife provides to people, as well as awareness of the urgent need to step up the fight against wildlife crime – especially the role of the youth in this cause.

The photo contest is supported by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. For more information and in order to enter click here.
