| Finalists eye green university prize | |

The European winner of the prestigious Global Universities Partnership on Environment and Sustainability (GUPES) Green Gown Award will be announced on 13 September, with two universities shortlisted. The university seen by judges to have achieved the greatest impact through a partnership between staff and students will be announced at the GUPES Green Gown Awards Ceremony at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The awards are a joint initiative supported by the UN Environment and the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC). The prizes have expanded further across the globe with an emphasis on profiling and learning from the Southern Hemisphere. All regional winners will automatically be entered into an International Green Gown Awards contest.
