Webinars on chemical convention support | |
A new series of webinars have been launched to inform governments on procedures for requesting support from the Special Programme, which will provide financial aid for complying with chemicals-related conventions.
Project application procedures will be covered in the webinars on the Programme, which will support implementation of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, the Minamata Convention and the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management.
The Programme, for which a call for proposals is open until 4 July, aims to help provide financial backing to developing countries or those with economies in transition for the implementation of chemicals and waste-related Instruments. The next such webinar session on the topic will take place on 28 April and can be accessed live or thereafter. Sessions will also take place in Spanish on 18 May and French and Russian on 19 May.
The online meetings last one hour each, are free of charge and open to all. For a full list of sessions and related conventions please click here.
The webinars are organised in cooperation with the BRS Secretariat, the Interim Secretariat of the Minamata Convention and the SAICM Secretariat.
