Consultation on the EU approach against wildlife trafficking open until 10 April | |
The European Commission (DG Environment) launched this consultation procedure on 7 February, which is open until 10 April. Contributions are sought from international and regional organizations, national ministries and enforcement authorities, the judiciary, the private sector and civil society who are involved in the fight against illegal wildlife trade. The public consultation aims to seek the contributions of the above target groups to the debate on how to tackle better the key challenges and the role of the EU in the future approach against wildlife trafficking, regarding action at both EU and global level. The consultation will be complemented by a stakeholder conference on 10 April that will involve representatives of the different target groups. More information here. |
