| ENVSEC Regional Consultation Meeting for Eastern Europe | |

An ENVSEC Regional Consultation Meeting for Eastern Europe will be held in Minsk, Belarus on 8-9 September 2014. The objective of the meeting is to develop a common vision of Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine towards stronger integration of environment and security concerns into the regional cooperation framework in Eastern Europe, and to adopt an Outcome Statement outlining a shared understanding and common actions for regional cooperation. UNEP coordinates ENVSEC's Eastern European desk and will lead the meeting in Minsk, which is hosted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Belarus, and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) under the ENVSEC SIDA Belarus Cooperation Programme. UNDP Belarus will support the organization of the meeting. |
