Introduction to Nanomaterial Safety

Background: Nano-containing products are a fast-growing market. They’re today being used extensively throughout the world in consumer products, the health sector and industrial processes. While this new technology offers an array of benefits, more research is needs to be done to understand how the materials could affect human health and the environment.
Participants will learn about global, national and sector-specific challenges and opportunities for the safe development and use of the materials. They will also learn basic skills for recognizing safety concerns and applying risk-management approaches to manufactured nanomaterial.

Classifying and Labelling Chemicals According to the UN GHS: e-learning course

Background: Participants will learn about the purpose, scope and application of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS); classification of hazardous substances and mixtures; and hazard communication (labelling and safety data sheets).
