Inception workshop in the Republic of Moldova on sustainable public procurement

Under the project “Greening Economies in the Eastern Neighbourhood” (EaP GREEN), UNEP will hold an inception workshop on Sustainable Public Procurement in Chisinau, on 14 and 15 May.


The main objective of the workshop is to launch country-level sustainable public procurement (SPP) activities in the Republic of Moldova. In particular, the workshop aims at raising awareness about the potential benefits that could be derived from SPP, the challenges as well as the opportunities of SPP implementation; presenting to members of the Steering Committee the UNEP approach to developing and applying SPP policy; formally agreeing on the institutional and project-management modalities and the scope of the SPP component in the Republic of Moldova.


The inception workshop will bring together the major SPP players of the country, including public procurers, civil society, and business-sector representatives.
